AWKWORD - World View [Bonus Disc]

Posted 2 years ago

Last month, NYC rhymesayer AWKWORD hooked up with The DJBooth and Morgan Stanley to bring listeners his long-awaited World View LP, a globally-minded set whose sale proceeds went to Guns 4 Cameras, a 501c3 nonprofit working to eradicate gun violence. Now, he's back with The World View Bonus Disc, a collection of records that didn't make it onto the album proper.

The project packs a whopping 19 tracks' worth of unreleased material (including "Whose Streets?") from AWK and his widely-dispersed cast of connects. AWOL One, Joell Ortiz, Josh Martinez, MarQ Spekt, Pace Won, Poison Pen, Rickie Jacobs, Sean Price, SHIRT, Slug (of Atmosphere), The Kid Daytona and Vast Aire make guest appearances throughout the Bonus Disc, which boasts beats by ATG, Delegation of Sound, Domingo, Harry Fraud, JoeBlack and Tone Spliff. Together, the contributing artists and producers represent 11 countries and four continents, bringing the project's total global involvement to 16 countries across six continents worldwide.
