Chicago-born, Philadelphia-based beatsmith kechPhrase has come together with The DJBooth to bring fans his latest instrumental tape, The KechStrumententals: Eclectic Oceans.

Blending electronic, hip-hop and trap influences, the nine-track project draws inspiration from such heavyweight producers as Ryan Leslie, Baauer, Mike Will Made It and Dot Da Genius. In contrast to sample-heavy past entries in the series, including the Booth-hosted Live From Nigeria, Tape 2, the project is built almost entirely from scratch, containing only a few vocal samples.
