G.O.O.D. Music - Mercy

In the sample running through G.O.O.D. Music's Mercy, late dancehall legend Fuzzy Jones references a sound so powerful it's capable of bringing about the Biblical Apocalypse. As of my writing, the Four Horseman have yet to show up, but it's a fitting analogy for what happens when the Cruel Summer lead single comes on in a packed club. Fueled by the stark, shapeshifting boardwork of Lifted and a bevy of co-producers, the record brims with the kind of iconic moments that can push an energized crowd over the edge, from Big Sean's magnificently juvenile “ass” puns, to the love-it-or-hate-it beat switch behind Kanye's bars, to 2 Chainz' standout stunting on the back.

Juicy J - Bandz A Make Her Dance Artwork

Juicy J - Bandz A Make Her Dance

Considering Mike Will won Producer of the Year in large part on the strength of his now legendary beat for Bands A Make Her Dance, it was only right that the Juicy J smash also mopped up Club Anthem of 2012 honors. Unfortunately, we can't print most of Juicy's brilliantly ignorant lyrics here, but we don't think it really matters; we're sure that, like most of America, you've already heard the song 100 times, and you're ready for more.
