[Review] Belva BDRS-12BLU & 12P Speakers

Belva is a new player in the PA speaker system market and they sent us a new Belva BDRS-12BLU and BDRS-12P 12-inch woofer powered speakers to put them through the paces to see if they would work well for beginner or entry-level DJ use.  These inexpensive powered speakers have a plethora of inputs/outputs, rugged molded enclosures, and a built-in Mixer with a two-band EQ to get the levels just right.  Check out our review video inside.

[Review] DJ Tech DJ BOOMBOX

DJ Tech has just released a cool new product for 2016 called the DJ BOOMBOX.  This new device looks a lot like the huge music boxes from back in the day that people used to carry with them everywhere to play the radio and cassette tapes.  DJ Tech updates this old format by bringing out the new DJ BOOMBOX that allows users to connect microphones, Bluetooth devices, and auxillary RCA & TRS inputs while playing back the sound through the dual five-inch woofers & one-inch tweeters.  Check out our full video review after the jump.

DJ Tech DJ BOOMBOX Unboxing [Video]

DJ Tech has just released a cool new product for 2016 called the DJ BOOMBOX.  This new device looks a lot like the huge music boxes from back in the day that people used to carry with them everywhere to play the radio and cassette tapes.  DJ Tech updates this old format by bringing out the new DJ BOOMBOX that allows users to connect microphones, Bluetooth devices, and auxillary RCA & TRS inputs while playing back the sound through the dual five-inch woofers & one-inch tweeters.  The setup also has a Five-Hour rechargeable battery on-board so users can take the show on the road.

NAMM 2016: Alto Professional TS2 Series Speakers

Alto Professional is a name you will see at the NAMM show and if you are into sound quality, and speakers, you may be intrigued and curious to find that they announced a new family of loudspeakers; the Truesonic TS2.

NAMM 2016: XPRS Series Speakers [Video]

Pioneer just introduced a new mixer and a new CDJ this year, and have brought replacement parts to their headphone lines this year at NAMM. They also have come out with new Series of powered Speakers for DJ’s dubbed the XPRS series.  It is comprised of the XPRS15 and XPRS12 two-way full range speakers, and the XPRS215S dual 15-inch subwoofer.  Check out the details after the jump!

[Review] KRK Rokit 4 & Rokit 10-3 Monitor

Everyone who’s been in the DJ or production realm for any amount of time will immediately recognize the KRK brand of active studio monitors with their all black body construction and signature yellow cones in the woofers.  Today we have a pair of KRK Rokit 4 G3 and a pair of KRK Rokit 10-3 G3 active Monitors in the lab for the full out review treatment.  Check out our review video after the jump.

[Review] Pioneer BULIT5 Active Monitor

Pioneer has recently released the new BULIT series monitor lineup that is affordable and squarely aimed at DJ’s & Producers who want good performance speakers with a small form factor. The Pioneer BULIT speaker range is nearly identical to the S-DJ X range that we reviewed two years ago as they also come in either the five-inch (BULIT5), the six-inch (BULIT6), or the eight-inch (BULIT8) woofer and have an auto on/off mode to save on power when not in use. These speakers are powered internally by an AB amplifier and Pioneer says that the technology in the woofer design and front port found on these speakers improve air flow with “Groove Technology” for deep and vibrant bass.
