Today at the NAMM 2016 show, Denon DJ division announced their new flagship DJ controller called the MCX8000. This new monstrous DJ controller is sporting a solid metal chassis all around, dual hi-res screens for playback information, 16 RGB backlit velocity sensitive performance pads, and full compatibility with Serato DJ when connected to a computer and Denon's Engine music management software so that DJ's can use this device without a computer. DJ's can even use both Serato DJ and Engine at the same time on the unit while easily importing music and crates from Serato DJ into Engine. DJ's can now use the Engine software on the computer to prepare music and transfer it to USB drives for playback on the MCX8000. The MCX8000 has two USB ports on the top panel to connect hard drives.

The MCX8000 also has the familiar super-solid construction that Denon DJ is known for. The MCX8000 has dual hi-res screens and 16 RGB backlit rubber performance pads which are really similar to those found on the Numark NS7III and the NV. Since InMusic Brand owns both Numark and Denon DJ, you can clearly see the relationship. The MCX8000 is a four channel DJ controller and a standalone mixer so that DJ's can connect external CDJ's or turntables for playback and/or Serato DJ DVS control.

The MCX8000 also has two microphone inputs as well as three on-board effects. The fact that you can use the MCX8000 with or without a computer really makes this a GREAT tool for mobile and wedding DJ's who need a reliable setup for live performances. This means that if the computer crashes while using Serato, that the DJ won't be left out in the cold as they can easily switch over to internal Denon DJ Engine operation without the computer connection. The MCX8000 will be available next month for the retail price of $1299.00.

We'll be sure to get one of these in the lab for the full out review treatment shortly, so stay tuned for more information coming soon!!!
