Overview:

Monoprice is an internet company that specializes in high quality cables, components, and accessories for electronics.  They are able to provide consumers with excellent prices on their products since they come directly from manufacturing plants that meet or exceed build standards.  The new Monoprice DJ Laptop Stand was only $35 plus shipping, .so we purchased one to put it through the tests to see just how good it really is.

Conclusion / Recommended For

In Conclusion, the Monoprice DJ Laptop stand is probably the lowest price a DJ or controllerist will pay for a device to hold their laptop or controller in place while performing. The Monoprice DJ Laptop stand is made of all solid metal and also has metal pins for locking and unlocking the folding mechanism. The stand also folds down pretty flat (about 2-inches) so that it is easy to throw it in the supplied pouch for transport or storage. On the downside, the Monoprice DJ laptop stand has no adjustments once it is locked in place and the stand is a bit wobbly or loose when used with controllers that require constant manipulation or pad drumming from the user.

Other than these gripes, I can safely recommend the Monoprice DJ Laptop stand to any DJ that wants a low cost and effective way to mount their laptop above other DJ gear. I wouldn't recommend this stand for controllers as there are other stands on the market that are a bit more stable when in their final position.
