Belva is a new player in the PA speaker system market and they sent us a new Belva BDRS-12BLU and BDRS-12P 12-inch woofer powered speakers to put them through the paces to see if they would work well for beginner or entry-level DJ use. These inexpensive powered speakers have a plethora of inputs/outputs, rugged molded enclosures, and a built-in Mixer with a two-band EQ to get the levels just right. DJ Tech has just released a cool new product for 2016 called the DJ BOOMBOX. This new device looks a lot like the huge music boxes from back in the day that people used to carry with them everywhere to play the radio and cassette tapes. DJ Tech updates this old format by bringing out the new DJ BOOMBOX that allows users to connect microphones, Bluetooth devices, and auxillary RCA & TRS inputs while playing back the sound through the dual five-inch woofers & one-inch tweeters. A brand new NJ-Based company called LyxPro has just released a new set of headphones that are advertised as being great for DJ’s and Sound professionals for monitoring situations. The LyxPro HAS-20 headphones have large 50mm over-the-ear drivers, good passive isolation, and a folding/swivel design for easy transport and one-ear monitoring. Let’s see how they hold well they work for DJ’s in the DJbooth.

They are able to provide consumers with excellent prices on their products since they come directly from manufacturing plants that meet or exceed build standards. The new Monoprice DJ Laptop Stand was only $35 plus shipping, .so we purchased one to put it through the tests to see just how good it really is.
UDG, a company known for its high-quality DJ bags and cases, has released a top-of-the-line Laptop/Controller Stand called the Creator. We here are The Booth took it for a spin and are happy to say that it has become our favorite stand in the office due to its chameleon-like ability to adapt to any DJ setup and its awesome build quality.

Marshall is known throughout the World for creating some of the best sounding Guitar Amps that anyone have ever heard. Marshall has taken the same ingenuity found in their guitar amps and applied it to their first on-the-ear designed headphones called the Marshall Major. The Marshall Major headphones have a cool throwback look and feel to them and they really feel like a product that belongs in the Marshall family.
