The Mixars DUO Mixer is a digital battle “budget” mixer that comes with Serato DJ and has an internal soundcard for DVS playback. Numark released a brand new triple-screen device called the Dashboard which will allow users to connect it to any Serato DJ setup in order to view most of the valuable information DJ’s need such as waveforms, track information, effects, and more. The Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 now has dual USB ports, a mini-headphone jack, soundcolor effects parameter knob, new beat FX, an OLED display, better sound quality, and an FX Frequency Selector that allows the user to select the EQ range to apply the effect. DJ Tech has just released a cool new product for 2016 called the DJ BOOMBOX. This new device looks a lot like the huge music boxes from back in the day that people used to carry with them everywhere to play the radio and cassette tapes. DJ Tech updates this old format by bringing out the new DJ BOOMBOX that allows users to connect microphones, Bluetooth devices, and auxillary RCA & TRS inputs while playing back the sound through the dual five-inch woofers & one-inch tweeters. The new Denon DS1 is a Serato DJ Digital Vinyl Interface and soundcard that will allow DJ’s to connect turntables and CD decks to an analog DJ mixer for full Serato DJ playback using noisemap (timecode) vinyl or CD’s. The DS1 comes bundled with the full Serato DJ software and two timecode vinyl & CD’s for only $300. This is great news for Serato DJ users as now there is another soundcard interface that can be purchased for less than the Rane SL offerings that tend to get really expensive really fast. The New Rane MP2015 rotary digital mixer has excellent build quality, top-notch sound, and a cool “throwback” way of mix music using knobs as opposed to faders. The Rane MP2015 has four channels and an additional sub-mix channel that can be used to link other channels together for easier track manipulation. The TTM57MKII is the new update to the original TTM57SL mixer that only worked with the aging Serato Scratch Live Software.
