Even though the Jogvision has been out for almost two years, we finally got one in the lab for the full out video review treatment. The Hercules DJ Control Jogvision has metal top jog wheels with LED indicators on them to make it easier to juggle, scratch, and cue the music without looking at the computer screen. The flagship Denon DJ MCX8000 Controller is a monstrous DJ controller is sporting a solid metal chassis all around, dual hi-res screens for playback information, 16 RGB Backlit velocity sensitive performance pads, and full compatibility with Serato DJ when connected to a computer and Denon’s Engine music management software so that DJ’s can use this device without a computer. Numark has released its new entry-level controller called the Numark Mixtrack Platinum. The Mixtrack Platinum builds upon the Mixtrack Pro 3 by adding new LCD displays at the center of each platter to give lots of Serato DJ playback info as well as 4-deck control, and gain controls for each channel. The Mixtrack Platinum also has full metal jog wheels to give it more durability and a more solid feel for DJ’s. The Mixtrack Platinum has the 16 backlit pads and comes bundled with Serato DJ Intro for basic DJ playback.
The Roland DJ-808 is a new professional level DJ controller that works perfectly with Serato DJ and has the familiar 8-pad sections with all the familiar modes and a new way to control the pitch in time functions for playback. The Roland DJ-808 also has a full featured 16 step sequencer with TR 909, 808, 707 and 606 drum racks built right in! There is also a VT voice changer as well. The New Pioneer DJ DDJ-RR is very similar to the DDJ-SR for Serato, but this one is built specifically for Rekordbox DJ software and it includes RGB backlit pads that the original did not. The DDJ-RB and DDJ-RR are also the first controllers to support PC Master Out, for playing master output through your computer’s internal speakers or connected desktop speakers, while using the controller for your headphones at the same time. The DDJ-RR also has a new Sequence feature that allows DJ’s to perform in new ways.
Numark released a brand new triple-screen device called the Dashboard which will allow users to connect it to any Serato DJ setup in order to view most of the valuable information DJ’s need such as waveforms, track information, effects, and more. The Dashboard has three screens that are attached to an adjustable stand and can connect to any Serato DJ controller or DVS setup that is out there. Watch our full video review after the jump.
The Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 is the latest and greatest Pioneer media player which has a new 7-inch touchscreen, higher audio resolution, 8 accessible RGB hotcues, colored waveforms, and all the other goodies that came from the original model.
