We never post gossip at DJBooth. We hate gossip. But this story is hilarious.

Following Joe Budden's red carpet tiff with Migos this past Sunday at the BET Awards, the result of Budden standing up and walking away from an incredibly awkward interview with the Atlanta trio, the veteran emcee turned Everyday Struggle show host took to his weekly podcast to spill the beans on what led up to the incident, but in the process, he jokingly pushed his Complex co-host, DJ Akademiks, under the bus.

"Akademiks is one of the biggest pussies I've ever seen in my entire life," said Budden. "He should never comment on anything that has to do with physicality."

Since I don't know DJ Akademiks personally, nor have I ever met him or interacted with him in the real world, I am not in the position to verify Budden's claim that he is, in fact, one of the "biggest pussies in the world." However, as someone who once hosted a radio program back in the day, and as someone who currently oversees the writing of countless hip-hop scribes, throwing a creative co-worker under the bus isn't exactly professional.

It's OK if Budden believes DJ Akademiks is a pussy—DJ Akademiks might even agree if you asked him off-camera—but it's not something he should be saying out loud, in a podcast, on the internet, for the world to hear.

Infighting has ruined far greater duos in media history and Complex, who has cashed in quite nicely on the success of Everyday Struggle, won't think twice about pulling the plug on the program if the show's producers believe the working relationship between its two mouthpieces is a hindrance to be taken seriously.

Then again, maybe clear personal spite between the show's co-hosts is exactly the boost a debate show like this needs in a world seemingly obsessed with consuming negativity and conflict on a daily basis.
