RZA might not listen to "mumble rap," but that doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate the music that artists like Lil Yachty or Lil Uzi Vert are currently making.

In a new interview with MONTREALITY, the Wu-Tang Clan veteran uses his veganism to defend "mumble rap," pointing out that while times have changed since Wu-Tang first arrive on the scene, he understands that not everyone is meant to enjoy the rap meal that is currently being served up to the masses.

"Listen, man, music is music," said RZA. "Music fits every category. Nah mean? We come from the era where of dope lyrics and all that, but we don't discriminate. It's like, I don't eat meat, but you can go ahead and eat your own meat if you want. That's how we look at it."

RZA is far from the first "old school" artist to defend the music being made by today's new school of artists. In just the past 12 months, Wyclef Jean has praised Young Thug, Roc Marciano has praised Young Thug, Nas has praised Future and the list goes on and on.
