Following the success of their Platinum-selling album, C U L T U R E, which was released in January, Migos jumped right back into the studio to begin work on a follow-up album, the appropriately titled C U L T U R E 2.

Unfortunately, for fans of the ATL trio, the sequel might require a reshoot. Late last week, Quavo discovered that the hard drive containing the C U L T U R E 2 album sessions was nowhere to be found. To make matters worse, the entire revelation was caught on camera during an Instagram Live session as Quavo was preparing to tease the material during a studio session.

While it's hard to believe that the group failed to back up any of their files to a cloud storage system or secondary hard drive, an artist losing or misplacing a laptop and/or an external hard drive is certainly not without precedent. In 2012, Ryan Leslie lost a backpack with a laptop and external hard drive, which eventually cost him 1.2M in the form of a reward payment. In 2015, Kanye's infamous "sex laptop" was jacked by his cousin, who held the device hostage until Ye paid him $250k. And the list goes on and on and on.

Sooner rather than later, the world will have their hands on C U L T U R E 2. In the meantime, let's just hope Martin Shkreli doesn't get his slimy hands on that hard drive.
