Pusha T made two appearances on Kanye West's classic 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but according to the veteran emcee, he originally had seven verses across the album's 14 tracks.

"I've never had someone open up an album to me that was theirs," he told Noah Callahan-Bever, EIC of Complex. "He was like, 'Hey, this is my album, I like how you rap, you can write to anything on this album. If it's great, it's great. If it's not, it's not. But, you know, you can have it all here. Take it.'

"So all of these records, I am writing verses for. Now, mind you, we're in Hawaii, the day starts off early, we played basketball every morning, we eat breakfast together every day, it got to the point once I realized that he was really letting me do what I want, write to his whole album, to everything I thought was great, I skipped basketball every day, I stopped eating breakfast with everybody. Y'all can do that, this is what I'm going to do. That turned into seven verses, which got trimmed down to two: 'Runaway' and 'So Appalled.' Which was fine. Two outta seven is great."

In total, 14 featured guests were employed by Kanye across the album's 14 tracks, but Pusha T was one of just three artists (JAY-Z, Rick Ross) who made more than one appearance. More important than landing those two feature nods, however, was getting the opportunity to work with Kanye in Hawaii, which ultimately set the stage for what would become a great working relationship, a signing with G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam and, eventually, being named the president of the label.

In related news, Pusha is "85%" done with his new album, King Push, but Kanye keeps throwing records away in his quest for perfection.
