Since his departure from Def Jam Records, Budden has been fighting to reclaim the respect that his lyrical ability earned him. "My main goal was to make M.M.3 more than just a dope mixtape" states DJ OnPoint . "I wanted to make M.M.3 a major event and raise the bar for mixtape albums. I don't know of any other mixtape to ever be released with this much hype and anticipation."
