DJ Booth x Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival Present: “Salute the DJ” Event & Giveaway

New York, N.Y. -- Attention New York City Hip-Hop fans! On July 14, The 2011 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival edition of Salute The DJ will pay tribute to the legacy of Mr. Magic. Fans can expect a “Rap Attack Live” showcase by Marley Marl and special guests: Keith Murray, Masta Ace, Craig G, Roxanne Shante, Force MDs and Grandmaster Caz of the Cold Crush Brothers; a special performance by the inventor of the Scratch, Grand Wizzard Theodore; turntablist sets by Mista Sinista, Roli Rho and Getlive; party rocking by Twilite Tone and rare grooves by Chairman Mao of EgoTrip. Attendees can expect a night with never before seen combination sets with some of the most influential DJs in the scene.

Brooklyn Bodega (producers of the annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival) and NYC Scratch DJ Academy are offering one Grand Wizzard Theodore Scholarship for a free, six-week “DJ 101: Intro to DJing” course as a prize exclusively on DJ.Booth.net in honor of Salute The DJ. Grand Wizzard Theodore, the “Inventor of the Scratch” and performer at Salute The DJ , will teach the winner's first lesson.
