So every Friday we will preview the week ahead in new releases, highlighting the hip hop projects, both free and sold, that should be on your music radar. Starting with...

Justin Timberlake "The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)"

Fans had to wait seven years for Justin Timberlake to release a follow-up to "FutureSex/LoveSounds." This time around, however, they only had to wait a few months. JT captivated the music world when "The 20/20 Experience” dropped back in March, and he's kept a vice grip on the conversation through the summer by touring alongside Jay Z and giving a show stealing performance at the 2013 VMAs. Calling “The 20/20 Experience Pt. 2” highly anticipated is an understatement as listeners prepare to see what Timberlake has in store for the second half of his comeback record. The question is whether or not Timberlake and the album's key producers, Timbaland and J-Roc, can create a set that lives up to the high expectations set by "Part 1". [Full Preview]

Nelly "M.O."

As he moves further away from the glory days of “Country Grammar” and “Air Force Ones,” Nelly continues to strive toward maintaining his relevance. Much like his 2010 effort “5.0,” the St. Lunatics founder's new album, "M.O.", sees him bringing in a stable of today’s top artists in the hopes of capturing our attention (and money) once again. “M.O.” sees Nelly enlisting the help of powerhouse artists and producers like Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, Future, T.I. and Wiz Khalifa, yet the impending release of the new LP has so far received relatively little attention. Next week could tell us a lot about whether Nelly still has a place at the head of the main table or if he’s now destined to sit somewhere in the back. [Full Preview]

Dizzee Rascal "The Fifth"

Dizzee Rascal kept it simple by naming his fifth studio album “The Fifth,” which happens to make plenty of sense. When you’re perhaps the most well-known grime artist around the world, the bells and whistles don’t have to be complicated to get our attention. The East London rapper’s frenetic record, “Bassline Junkie,” released in January, managed to reach Top 10 status on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, despite the fact it was not even released as an "official" single. Dizzee hopes to build off that momentum and experience similar success when “The Fifth” hits stores Tuesday. [Full Preview]

D. Prince "CFRN"

While Dashah made some major moves with his cohort former DJ Pause as the Fresh Vetz, the Long Island emcee felt a change was necessary. Earlier this year, Dashah officially changed his stage name to D. Prince, an ode to his government name. The New Yorker prepares to start the next chapter of his career with the release of “CFRN” (aka “Classy Fly Rap N***a”). Prince has called this project the most important album of his career and it’s hard to deny that. With a resurgence in the New York underground rap scene, D. Prince has the opportunity to capture the attention of a new audience who may know nothing about what he built with the Fresh Vetz. Regardless, new and old fans alike can expect some high quality hip-hop on D. Prince’s latest creation. [Full Preview]
