Download DJBooth's new App, The PLUG New York, NY -- KOCH Records and Suave (House) Records are happy to announce the release of the first ever greatest hits album by 8Ball & MJG, We Are the South (Greatest Hits) on May 13th, 2008. This album features many of the duo’s classic records.

Pioneers of Southern rap, 8Ball & MJG emerged from Memphis, Tennessee in the early '90s and quickly garnered a tremendous regional following while proving highly influential to a generation of aspiring, independent-minded rap artists and entrepreneurs.

Since their debut album Comin’ Out Hard, 8 Ball & MJG have solidified themselves as one of the best hip-hop duos of all time. The group has sold over 3.5 million units to date, while always representing the South. Along with Comin’ Out Hard, they’ve released such classic albums as On Top Of The World, On The Outside Looking In, In Our Lifetime Vol. 1, Space Age 4 Eva and Living Legends.

Now, for the first time on CD, the group’s classic hits have been compiled for an incredible “Best Of” album. We Are The South (Greatest Hits) collection features songs such as “Space Age Pimpin’,” “Pimp In My Own Rhyme,” “Don’t Flex,” and many more. This release is sure to be a sought after collectors item for hip-hop fans everywhere.
