Download DJBooth's new App, The PLUG NEW YORK, NY -- Call it Hip Hop Confidential? Call it Hip Hop Uncovered? Mad Linx "On the Grind," the new DVD starring BET's VJ, The Infamous Mad Linx, takes away the mystery of some of rap's most infamous beefs, such as Young City vs. Choppa; and Gucci Mane versus Young Jeezy, dishing out the real story. Mad Linx, host of one of Black Entertainment Television's top shows, “Rap City," explores and questions the participants in various rap beefs. In the process, the guest lineup for "On the Grind" reads like a rap Who's Who’s with Rakim, Paul Wall, Camillionaire, Jim Jones, Xzibit, Russell Simmons, just to name a few, all making appearances.

But there is more to Mad Linx "On the Grind" than hip-hop feuds. The DVD, distributed by The TFD/Sugar Water/Fontana, is also an instructional guide. Offering guidance and advice, it teaches up-and-coming DJ's how to rock the crowd where ever--and for whomever--they're spinning. As an added treat, Mad Linx gets personal on "On the Grind"--giving viewers an exclusive look inside of his life, on and off screen. In "On the Grind" Mad Linx openly shares his career ups and downs, what life is like on the road for an international DJ, as well as revealing some of his most personal thoughts. "I didn't just want this to be the typical Hip Hop DVD," says Mad Linx. "I wanted to give viewers something to talk about, whether it is the true story behind some of rap's most publicized beefs or how I cope on the road traveling around the world." But know too that aspiring DJs might also be apt to pick up "On the Grind" because of his own DJ status, Mad Linx wanted to give them a little something extra. "I thought it would be great to include an instructional section for anyone who loves to spin and wants to know more about the craft,” explains Mad Linx. “All the way through “On the Grind”, there is a little something for everyone.”

Mad Linx "On the Grind" was directed by Hakim Taylor and executive produced by Taylor and Mad Linx. Based in New York City, TFD is a full-service record and distribution company.

"On the Grind", A Day in the Life of Rap... A Day in the Life of Mad Linx. A must-have for any Hip Hop DVD collection. "On The Grind" will be released on September 26th, 2006 at major retail outlets. For more information about Mad Linx "On the Grind," visit WWW.MADLINX.COM
