Download DJBooth's new App, The PLUG The art of breakdancing is alive and kicking, thanks in no small part to Red Bull. Red Bull BC One, the world’s most prestigious B-boy competition, has launched its North American battle series in search of the best b-boys on the continent, beginning with regional cyphers hosted in Philadelphia (April 25), Las Vegas (May 18), Chicago (June 8), and Orlando (June 30).

Winners of these cyphers advance to the Red Bull BC One National Finals in Houston on August 17, 2013. The National Champion will be flown to Seoul, Korea to compete against the best of the best in the World Finals this November.

Now in its 10th year, Red Bull BC One has earned the reputation as a showcase for the world’s best b-boys. While many competitions focus on crew battles, Red Bull BC One’s one-on-one, single elimination battle format focuses on talents and strength of the individual dancer.

Red Bull BC One champions have been featured on television, movies, video games, performed in theatre and concerts around the world, so if you know how to Uprock with the best of them, or just love watching some b-boys get down, I highly recommend you check out redbullbcone.com for more info.
