Download DJBooth's new App, The PLUG A passion for music brought ATL based writer, DJ and hip-hop lover DJ Grain together with Bay Area producer and DJ KV. The duo quickly decided to join forces to create The Truth Radio, a podcast dedicated to providing underground and indie hip hop artists with a platform for the masses to hear artists that otherwise wouldn't get any air play.

For their special Streets episode The Truth Radio DJ Grain and KV discuss the powerful messages that hip hop once sent out through what was considered to be gangster rap.

In addition, this week's The DJBooth Top 5 Indie countdown features music from Actual Proof, J'Lynn, Reef the Lost Cauze, REKS and Tayyib Ali. In addition, we get new music from Playa G, Tystick, K.Sidney, Trav Williams and many more.

Enjoy, and keep it locked for more Truth Radio.

Get The PLUG app by DJBooth and get the best hip-hop writing and news delivered daily.
