Download DJBooth's new App, The PLUG Here at The DJBooth we strive to always keep our readers well informed of all the latest album, mixtape and EP releases. So every Friday we will preview the week ahead in new releases, highlighting the hip hop projects, both free and sold, that should be on your music radar. Starting with...

The Kid Daytona "Savoir Faire"
The Kid Daytona is no stranger to teaming up with major brands as the Bronx emcee worked with L-R-G a few years ago to release “The Interlude” and was recognized as a “rising icon” by Grey Goose. This time around, Daytona has linked up with the burgeoning French clothing company Space Monkeys for the release of his latest work Savoir Faire. After dropping two well-received projects last year, fans will undoubtedly be expecting another quality record from the talented New Yorker.

Yancey Boys "Sunset Blvd"
There’s not many things that get hip-hop fans as excited as the words “unreleased J Dilla beats.” But that’s exactly what the upcoming album Sunset Blvd will deliver as the late producer’s younger brother Illa J and emcee Frank Nitt have crafted a new LP from some of the recently uncovered productions from the Dilla vaults. Sunset Blvd certainly is a family affair as Illa J will be joined by past Jay Dee collaborators like De La Soul’s Posdnuos, Slum Village’s T3, Common, Pharcyde’s Slimkid3 and Talib Kweli. While many of the recent J Dilla-related projects have disappointed, this LP has the potential to finally pay proper respects to the legendary producer.

Alterbeats "Class Struggle"
French beatmaking team Alterbeats embodies the gritty, hardcore sound as displayed on debut release The French Revolution and previous work with emcees like Amadeus The Stampede and Skeezo. Much like their debut offering, Alterbeats enlists an impressive lineup of rhymers for new album Class Struggle. With elite spitters such as Tragedy Khadafi, Guilty Simpson, Copywrite, Main Flow and Rock of Heltah Skeltah assisting Alterbeats on the LP, this is one you won’t want to get caught sleeping on. Vinnie Paz "Carry On Tradition"
Since Stoupe The Enemy Of Mankind’s departure from Jedi Mind Tricks, we’ve seen a lot more output from group stalwart Vinnie Paz outside of the JMT banner. The aggressive Paz has never steered far from his well-established lane, so longtime listeners should know what they’re in for on his upcoming EP, Carry On Tradition. The eight-track project aims to serve as a nice appetizer for loyal Vinnie Paz fans as they await the new Army Of The Pharaohs and Heavy Metal Kings albums. [Full Preview]
