December Update: We made it DJBooth Nation! Another year, another 9 billion songs. It’s all led up to this moment. Finally, after 12 long months we have a definite guide to 2014’s must-have tracks. I’d say we are going out on a high note (literally and figuratively) with D’Angleo leading the charge along with efforts from J. Cole and Lupe.

And for those who are just joining us, here’s what’s been happening all year: Every December we look back and try remember the year’s best music, but inevitably some great songs slip through the cracks. So we’re trying something new for 2014. Each month, we’ll update this playlist with some of the best and most notable tracks of that month. That way by December we’ll have a playlist that truly reflects the year in great music. Consider it your running 2014 hip-hop and R&B cheat sheet.
