40Love ft. Headnodic - I’ll Take Care Of You

Posted 4 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Headnodic and Anthony Coleman II
Album:
Unreleased

With a title like I’ll Take Care Of You you may be led to believe that 40Love’s latest cut was inspired by a random Boyz II Men song, but I assure you that the Bay Area quartet’s newest song release is no sappy love affair. In fact, thanks to the work of numerous musicians I’ll Take Care Of You feels more like three records instead of just one. On top of sampling classics from Common, Wu-Tang Clan, and a slew of other hip-hop icons, producers Headnodic and Anthony Coleman II keep the record authentically hip-hop with their use of various scratches and the occasional horn. I’ll Take Care Of You might be a “loosie” release, but past singles Think Too Much and Tiki Tiki can be found on their Dreams Don’t Sleep album, out now.
