50 Cent ft. Joe - Big Rich Town

Featuring:
Producer:
Vitamin D
Album:

New York City is a Big Rich Town; 50 Cent just happened to come up in one of its grimiest corners. On the latest in his ongoing barrage of dope singles, Curtis Jackson looks back with pride on the Horatio Alger story that has been his life to date. In hard-nosed, yet easygoing verses, he revisits his days as a drug lord with dreams of going legit: “We already on top, I got a bigger plan / No more controlled substances or hand-to-hand.” In keeping with the theme of upward mobility, the joint’s sound is more glossy than gritty; Vitamin D‘s beat features glittering keys and swanky brass accents, and R&B vet Joe Thomas lends his velvety vocals to the hook. In addition to appearing on his Animal Ambition LP, scheduled for independent release June 3, this record is slated to appear on an upcoming episode of 50’s TV series, Power.
