7evenThirty - Twenty Twelve (Apollo Brown Remix)

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Apollo Brown
Album:
Heaven's Computer

Jackson, Mississippi native 7evenThirty‘s record Twenty Twelve may have been released close to a month ago, but Motor City beatsmith Apollo Brown has reawakened the cut, hip-hop Frankenstein style, on a brand new remix. Whereas the original version of the record boasted a new-school hip-hop meets 90’s rock sound, Brown’s remix is heavier on its hip-hop foundation and includes an abundance of spooky, paranoia-inducing keys. The Detroit producer’s grim boardwork on Twenty Twelve (Apollo Brown Remix) is likely the culprit, but the Mississippi spitter seems to come across as more aggressive lyrically on the newer version of the record. For those looking to get their compare/contrast on, the original version of Twenty Twelve can be found on 7evenThirty Heaven’s Computer album.
