I’ll admit it. Most of what I know about Baltimore comes from watching The Wire, but I’m slowly but surely learning that some pretty dope rappers call the east coast port city home too, starting with 810. On the worldwide premiere of his new cut Shame On Me, the always honest 810 drops an old-school sounding flow that’s nothing but quality hip-hop. While producer Mydus drops some bouncing, bright, upbeat production in the background 810 takes center stage, ruminating on the haters that inevitably attack anyone truly chasing their dreams: “I’m sick of people tellin me I can’t do it, you had your chance to shine homey, you blew it.” By contrast, I’m sure the Booth will agree that 810 sounds determined not to blow his chance to shine. Shame On Me is off of 810’s upcoming Glass Half Full mixtape, co-hosted by DJBooth.net and set to drop November 12. Keep it locked for all the latest.
