Add-2 - Sorry Kanye but This Verse Is Better

Posted 2 years ago
Producer:
INTLMC
Album:
TBD

Last month, Kanye West announced via Twitter, “The 2nd verse of New Slaves is the best rap verse of all time….meaning … OF ALL TIME IN THE HISTORY OF RAP MUSIC, PERIOD.” Ridiculous? Of course—but, since it was Kanye, it couldn’t fail to get the Internet buzzing. Rather than simply listing off a few 16s he deemed superior, Add-2 decided to go the extra mile and outdo Yeezy himself. The result, aptly titled Sorry Kanye but This Verse Is Better, finds the Chi-Town native firing off his most potent lyrical ammunition over INTLMC‘s languid string/horn loops and clattering breakbeat. The Chi-Town buzzmaker certainly gives Mr. West a run for his money, but does this cut live up to its name? Debate away! Details on the project to which SKBTVIB is attached have yet to be announced but, as always, fans can keep it locked for further details.
