A common practice for underground artists looking to get their music heard on a mainstream level, is to spend a big wad of cash to secure a guest verse from a nationally-known MC.  In keeping with that strategy, underground Bostonian, Affiliate, locked up D-Block‘s Sheek Louch for the new single Dope Boy For Real.  Unfortunately, collaborations like this often result in audiences only checking for the popular guest feature, and in this case, Sheek Louch and producer/collaborator J. Cardim truly shine.  Nevertheless, Affiliate shot a video for the song (on location in his city, as well as Sheek’s Yonkers neighborhood), and hopes to prove he has the drive to turn a small feature into “major-without-a-major-deal” status (hello, Bake Up Boyz).
