Ahmad Belvin - Super Sorry

Posted 6 years ago
Producer:
J.R. Rotem
Album:
Untitled (TBD)

For some wrongs, such as, say, repeated infidelity, a simple “Sorry” just isn’t good enough. How can you make things right when you’ve f***ed up big-time – like, Tiger Woods big-time? On his debut single, singer Ahmad Belvin (previously heard under the name “A.B.” on the T-Pain-assisted Trophy Girl) shows us fellas how it’s done: simply tell her you’re “Super Sorry,” and then spell it out a couple times to drive the point home. While your mileage with the “super-apology” approach may vary, the song itself is pretty much guaranteed to take up shop in your head. Boasting Belvin’s melodic vocals and the characteristically pop-appealing synth boardwork of superproducer J.R. Rotem, this super-catchy cut could hardly be a more auspicious debut for the J Records buzzmaker. Is it infectious enough to earn Ahmad’s yet-untitled freshman full-length a solid release date sooner than later? That, I am Super Sorry to say, remains to be seen – but Booth readers can feel free to speculate.
