Alicia Keys - Tears Always Win

Producer:
Alicia Keys and Jeff Bhasker
Album:

The last video single off Alicia Keys’ fifth full-length found her kindling a metaphorical flame with the help of neo-soul veteran Maxwell. But passion, however scorching it may be at first, has an unfortunate tendency to burn out when there’s no longer fuel for the fire. As the R&B heavyweight puts it on the freshly-selected follow-up, “Tears Always Win.” On this heartbroken ballad, Keys and co-producer Jeff Bhasker come together to craft a soulful, piano-led backdrop for verses expressing the singer’s longing for a man who recently walked out of her life. For the few Keys fan who still haven’t copped the project, Girl on Fire dropped in November 2012 via RCA Records and is available now wherever fine music is sold.
