Alicia Keys - Typewriter

Posted 4 years ago
Producer:
Kerry "Krucial" Brothers
Album:
songs in A minor (10th Anniversary Ed.)

Damn, has it really been a decade since Alicia Keys exploded onto the national scene with her classic debut set, Songs in A Minor? Indeed it has—and to celebrate the set’s tenth anniversary, Keys is preparing to drop an expanded re-release featuring two previously-unreleased records. Recorded (believe it or not) in Keys’ Harlem apartment in 1997, Typewriter finds Keys paying tribute to a fella who knows what she’s thinking before she even puts it down on paper. Frequent collaborator Kerry “Crucial” Brothers contributes a slow-burning, keyboard-led beat. Fans will be able to pick up the 2-CD album re-release, as well as a deluxe edition with a bonus DVD, on Tuesday, June 28.
