alpha.live - Put Love (M.F.U.)

In his DJBooth debut, alpha.live presents Put Love (M.F.U.), a biting shout-out to all the naysayers that doubted the Indy native in the beginning. The song, similar to Eminem’s No Love in concept, is driven by the chopping samples of producer Soul CineMatik. On first listen, it’s not difficult to imagine alpha attracting hordes of haters when he first started; his style is eccentric and his swag is on googolplex. But it soon becomes clear why he and his syllable-heavy rhymes have made it all the way onto the esteemed pages of DJBooth. The message is wrapped up in the first two lines: “What used to be a show about nothing kinda like Jerry Sein’ / Is now like juice mixed with liquor I’m very fine.” Nothing overly flashy here, just a slightly more seasoned and successful dude spitting some well-written words back at those who used to hate - something we can all relate to. Look out for his upcoming album Soul Cinema, dropping on DJBooth later today!
