Alterbeats ft. Guilty Simpson & The Rockness Monstah - Fruit Punch

Posted 2 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Alterbeats
Album:
Class Struggle

Some rap is about diamonds, girls, and chains, which is cool, but sometimes you want to feel like you’ve learned something. For some grown-man, elevated hip-hop, I will definitely be checking out Alterbeats’s forthcoming album, Class Struggle. The producer’s new full-length, which features guest spots from Verbal Kent, Shabaam Sahdeeq and Skeezo (among many more), “focuses on the current global economic crisis, while placing an emphasis on the new class struggle to live free.” The latest single release off the album is Fruit Punch, but don’t let the title fool you. It is more like a Tyson uppercut, thanks to Alter’s sample-powered beat and the forceful, heavy-handed flows of Guilty Simpson and The Rockness Monstah. Class Struggle is due out on the 29th, but The DJBooth will have the album available for stream/sale a day early, on 10/28.
