Angel Haze - Drop It

Posted 4 years ago

Now that you’ve had a little time to absorb rapstress Angel Haze‘s Booth-hosted Reservation album it’s now time to take a good listen to the projects stand out selection Drop It. Compared with the bass-heavy production and rapid-fire wordplay on Angel’s last Booth feature Werkin’ Girls, Drop It is a bit of a tamer tune. I would suggest that slightly Nicki Minaj-obsessed, Tween rap fans steer clear of this one though because despite the its title Drop It is not a bubbly dance record that features a lyrical breakdown of the 30 different ways you can “drop it like it’s hot.” Thankfully, the song is far from that. Instead Ms. NativeRaeen drops a bevy of braggadocious raps that flaunt her heavy lyrical prowess. Check out Drop It, Werkin’ Girls, and more from Haze’s Reservation, which remains available for free stream and download.
