Apache Chief - Cults

Producer:

Album:

Apache Chief likes his paper, but currency is by no means the man’s primary motivator. Coming on the heels of the reader-approved Here to Stay, mixtape single Cults offers fans a little insight into the deeper concerns that dominate the Utica native’s headspace, from the despoliation of the environment, to the safety and happiness of his loved ones, to his hometown’s stature on the national scene. Matty C Beats looks to the titular indie buzz band for inspiration on the production tip, sampling the intro and chorus of their 2011 hit single, Go Outside. This reflective, yet catchy cut is just one of many original jams to be found on Apache’s Upstate of Mind LP, scheduled for independent release in March.
