Art of Fresh - Out This World

Posted 6 years ago
Producer:
Slakah the Beatchild
Album:
Back to the Earth

I can’t even watch tv for nine hours straight, so when I heard Canadian born rapper D.O. had freestyled for nine hours straight, earning him a Guinness World Record, I was more than a little impressed. But freestyle endurance isn’t the only thing going for the man: D.O. and his musical compatriot Slakah the Beatchild (who handles most of the production work) also form Art of Fresh, a genre-bending crew making their DJBooth.net premier with their new track Out of This World. Behind the boards Slakah puts together a sonic patchwork that’s part disco, part hip-hop and all head-nodding energy, while D.O. grabs the mic for rhymes that are as intelligent as they are catchy (Slakah even throws in some vocal contributions of his own). Out of This World may catch some off guard, but personally, I’m digging the originality. If you want more boundary defying action from Art of Fresh, keep an eye out for their upcoming album Back to the Earth, which currently had no release date.
