Attitude - ‘Bout Money

Key 2 Da Streets V3: Purgatory

When it comes to dealing with life’s ups and downs, it’s impossible to overstate the importance of maintaining a good attitude – and what better way to do that than by listening to some good music from Birmingham underground mainstay Attitude? OK, that logic might not be one-hundred percent airtight, but that shouldn’t stop fans of Southern hip-hop from checking out mixtape leak ‘Bout Money, which finds the artist dropping braggadocious bars about… drumroll please… money! Though ‘tude covers some well-trod lyrical ground here, he does so with a swagger-laden style all his own – he even manages to rhyme the words “masturbator” and “calculator,” a feat which I would never have dreamed possible – and DJ Stikuhbush complements his stunting with an electric guitar-driven beat sure to get heads nodding. Has this track lifted your spirits, readers? If the answer’s “yes,” you’ll be able to hear plenty more where this came from on his Booth-sponsored Key 2 Da Streets V3: Purgatory set to hit our mixtape page sometime in September.
