AWAR ft. Has-Lo - The Winning Team

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Vanderslice
Album:
Untitled (TBD)

Oh—AWAR‘s recent, Booth-hosted The Laws of Nature street album wasn’t enough to satisfy your craving for new music from the Big Apple rhymesayer? Well, you’re damn hard to please; but luckily for you, he’s just put together a brand new single for your listening pleasure. Winning Team is less of a victory lap than a refreshing stroll, thanks to the laid-back vibes of Vanderslice‘s sampled beat, but the artist’s excitement is palpable as he toasts his successes and ribs the competition: “As the championship rings and plaques appear / Rivals say they prayers for rain in the atmosphere / I’m making power moves, they’re trading chairs / You sour dudes know we ain’t playing fair.Has-Lo exults in his own recent wins in a breezy, braggadocious guest verse. Details have yet to be released on the larger project to which this cut will be attached, but fans can currently cop it as a part of A3C Compilation Vol. 2, released via iTunes this past Tuesday.
