Real Talk Inc.
Album:
None (Promo Single)

From his dreams of rap superstardom, to the everyday hustle to survive, to the myriad mental associations stirred up by his heavy kush smoking, there’s a lot of stuff spinning around Booth newcomer Axis’ psyche at any given moment. On his first Booth feature, freshly-released promo single On My Mind, the Denver rhymesayer and producer gives soon-to-be-fans a guided tour of his crowded headspace, lacing his own dreamy, multifaceted sample work with hazy, yet focused verses featuring his thoughts on the grind, romance and more. Panhandle State spitter and erstwhile Booth regular Laws contributes a guest 16 that sounds like he could have written it in its sleep—not because he phoned it in, but because it’s packed with dreamlike imagery of screaming turtles and monkey suits. This joint isn’t attached to any forthcoming project but, if this cut’s piqued your interest, you can keep your browsers locked for further news and tunes from Axis.
