Ayatollah Jaxx ft. Dominique Larue, Jonny Quest, Beedie - I Don’t Wanna Know

Featuring:
Producer:
J-Fish
Album:
Stilltown Presents: Nothing Like You Ever Heard

In late March, Ayatollah Jaxx introduced himself to Booth readers with a track he claimed was like “Nothing You’ve Ever Heard.” While the Pennsylvanian up-and-comer can no longer claim that his style’s totally new to our eardrums, those who liked his sound the first time ‘round will likely find the artist’s second feature equally appealing. On I Don’t Wanna Know, Jaxx and a few equally talented homies join forces over another soulful, retro-informed instrumental – this time coming courtesy of producer J-Fish – to offer their thoughts on that enduring question: is hip-hop dead? As Jaxx, HerStory femcee Dominique Larue and Booth newcomers Jonny Quest and Beedie simultaneously show and tell over the course of their witty, reflective verses, the answer is a resounding “Hell no!” If you’re digging this insightful jam, you can find more proof of the genre’s good health on Ayatollah Jaxx’ pre-Hello Hip Hop street album, Stilltown Presents: Nothing Like You Ever Heard, available now online.
