AZ - I Excel

Posted 3 years ago
Producer:
Cookin Soul
Album:
Doe or Die II

Fresh off contributing guest vocals to Messing With You, the Booth debut from pop songstress Justine Skye, Big Apple veteran AZ bounces back with a fresh single of his own. I Excel, the follow-up to May’s We Movin’, is a lyrical street banger with a laid-back, retro feel. Over Cookin’ Soul‘s beat, a jazzy arrangement centered around a vocal sample from NasIt Ain’t Hard to Tell, the emcee flaunts his mic skills in boastful, tightly-wound verses. Studio album Do or Die II currently lacks a drop date, but AZ plans to release a new street album, Last of a Dying Breed II, in September. Fans can, of course, keep it locked for the latest on both forthcoming projects.
