Walk Into A Bar

I know you guys love jokes, so here’s a good one: two guys Walk Into A Bar, spend a week in Hawaii, and make progressively dope music to rock with. Didn’t get it? Ok, so maybe it wasn’t that funny, let me back it up a minute. Longtime friends Bambu and Prometheus Brown (aka Geologic of Blue Scholars) sat down for a week in Oahu this past winter during a University of Hawaii tour to bang out a musically inspiring project, the lead single of this venture being At It Again. The energy between the two artists on the record shows their bond goes beyond just music as they bounce off each other without any hesitation - over a fittingly bouncing, conscious banger of a beat provided by MTK – dropping rewind-worthy references on everyone from Hackshaw Jim Duggan to Dexter. With this being a benchmark for the rest of their Walk Into A Bar project, I can only expect it to make waves when it drops July 6. Oh, and the joke is on whoever doesn’t make time to check it out.
