Beanie Sigel ft. State Property - Reunion

This week we learned that Beanie Sigel will be heading to prison shortly after a tax evasion conviction, but before Beanie goes behind bars he’s seizing the opportunity to make hip-hop history with new aptly-named street single Reunion. The first solo track we’ve heard from Sigel since 2009, Reunion finds Beans reuniting with his State Property family (Freeway, Young Chris, Peedi Crakk and Omillio Sparks) for an exercise in good ol’ fashioned mic destruction, all over a Sly & The Family Stone sampled beat from a yet-to-be-named producer. (I don’t want to fall into the “who had the best verse” trap but….my money’s on Free. You?) If this isn’t the perfect way to kick off the campaign for Beanie’s upcoming album, This Time, due August 28, I don’t know what is.
