Ben Official ft. Add-2 - I Wish Too (PSA)

Posted 3 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Authentik Made
Album:
Circa 87 (Vol. 1)

Saturday’s announcement that George Zimmerman had been acquitted of all charges relating to the murder of Trayvon Martin ignited a fresh wave of emotion among those whose lives have been touched by gun violence. Included in that number is Windy City R&B singer Ben Official, whose father was shot dead in a robbery exactly 24 years ago tomorrow. On new single I Wish Too (PSA), a Booth-exclusive world premiere, the artist looks to God for strength in these difficult times, and calls upon his people to take an active role in rebuilding their communities. Joining the headliner over Authentik Made‘s lush, string-laced production, fellow Chi-Town representative Add-2 bemoans the fracturing of black families in a heartfelt opening 16. On the hook, Authentik flips a vocal sample from R. Kelly‘s 2000 single, I Wish. For this poignant cut and much more, check out Ben Official’s Circa 87 (Vol. 1) tape this Tuesday, when it drops for free via Audiomack.
