Beyoncé ft. Andre 3000 & Kanye West - Party (Remix)

Posted 5 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Kanye West, Consequence
Album:
Unreleased

It wouldn’t quite be accurate to claim that Beyoncé can do no wrong in the Booth lately—the reader response to Run the World (Girls) says otherwise—but the waves of 4/5-star reviews that greeted both pretend second single 1 + 1 and real second single Best Thing I Never Had indicates that our resident R&B/pop-lovers are still Crazy in Love with the Destiny’s Child alum. With her latest effort, star-studded album leak Party, I fully expect Bey’s winning streak to continue. As suited to a backyard barbecue as to a steamy summer evening with a special someone, this joint finds Chitown heavyweight Kanye West (and Consequence) handling production duties, pairing a breezy synth groove with some well-placed vocal samples from Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh’s La Di Da Di as Beyoncé smoothly alludes to Keith Sweat classic Right and a Wrong Way (“I may be young but I’m ready…”). To top it all off, both West and Outkast alum Andre 3000 assist on the guest tip, dropping (respectively) a swag-drenched intro and a suave 16. Beyoncé‘s 4 LP arrives on store shelves June 24—do I need to tell you to mark your calendars?
