When Jive wasn’t doing anything with his upcoming album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, Big Boi decided to take control and move the project to Def Jam. However, Jive has blocked the inclusion of two Andre 3000 songs originally intended for Chico. So what is Big Boi’s response? How about the new, sultry Lookin For Ya, featuring the rarely heard from Mr. Benjamin Andre and frequent hook man Sleepy Brown? Straight from Stankonia Studios in Atlanta, Big Boi and his Outkast compatriot Andre 3K have once again created a sonic masterpiece that sounds completely different from anything else right now. Produced by the suddenly omnipresent Boi-1da, the track feels like a perfect blend of what we heard on both Speakerboxx and The Love Below; far from a club joint but still a guaranteed head-nodder.
