Big K.R.I.T. ft. 8Ball & MJG & 2 Chainz - Money On The Floor

Featuring:
Producer:
Big K.R.I.T.
Album:
Live from the Underground

No reason to panic people, sit down, take a deep breath. Yes, I know Big K.R.I.T.’s debut album Live From the Underground has been pushed all the way back to 2012, but no need to go take a bath with a toaster. The man’s still as committed as ever to delivering the kind of deeply soulful, Southern fried hip-hop we’ve come to expect. Hell, he even just dropped a new single, Money on the Floor. For the beat Krizza goes into a séance and calls up the ghost of Pimp C, layering deeply funky guitar lines over snapping percussion guaranteed to rattle trunks (even if, like myself, your whip is a Honda). Vocally KRIT forms a Southern rap coalition for Money, laying out his own magnetic qualities when it comes to attracting women before yielding the floor to legendary Memphis duo 8Ball and MJG and Atlanta’s 2 Chainz (aka Tity Boi, one-half of Player’s Circle) for some additional pimpery. So while we still may have a long ride ahead of us until Live From the Underground hits our headphones, at least it looks like K.R.I.T.’s determined to have us ride there in style.
