Black Cobain ft. Wale - Busy Now (Remix)

Featuring:
Producer:
J Marlon & Battle Roy [for MidiEast Prod.]
Album:
Young Gifted & Black

Black Cobain is on to something. The kid hailing from Virginia’s sector of the DMV, while no stranger to the Booth, comes with a new energy on Busy Now (Remix) off his latest mixtape, Young, Gifted & Black. Last year, Cobain was making his way up the ranks and even taking time to give previews of future releases; this year, I see why his schedule is a little tight. Busy Now is a thrusting record that pronounces the emcee as a contender for future lyrical titles. With intonations that hint at Yeezy’s braggadocio and a beat that could easily fit into Jay-Z’s line-up for The Black Album, Cobain shows his growth and ability while Wale joins his protégé to release some tension and doesn’t hold back at all. All this relies on fellow Virginia producers J. Marlon and Battle Roy on the boards as the team chops, samples and screws a combination of strings, piano and drums to give the two emcees an awesome platform for Black Cobain to show off.  Watch the lad, something tells me Cobain’s about to get really, really busy.
