Bluey Robinson ft. Ryan Leslie - I Know (Remix)

Posted 7 years ago
Featuring:
Producer:
Ryan Leslie
Album:
Unreleased

In a world where high-tech networking is seen as crucial to success, it’s refreshing to hear that street musicians still have hope of taking their game to the next level.  One recent example of a busker who made it big is UK native Bluey Robinson; having made a name for himself singing in the subways of London and New York (as well via onlookers’ YouTube videos of his performances), he’s preparing for the September (overseas) release of his currently-untitled debut album.  On this new remix of lead single I Know, Robinson is joined by a certain musical jack-of-all-trades—Ryan Leslie sounds as smooth as ever on his rapped guest verse, but the real highlight is his beat, which features a sample from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five’s The Message (also famously used by Puff Daddy and Mase on Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down).  Although this version of the record won’t be appearing on Bluey’s full-length, it’s the perfect introduction to an artist we’ll likely be hearing much more from in the near future.
