B.o.B. may be a superstar, chart topping rapper who goes on tour in Asia like I go on Doritos runs to the corner store, but despite all the success he hasn’t forgotten his roots, and his hip-hop roots. It’s still all about ill rhymes over a banging Boom Bap beat. That aforementioned production comes courtesy of the dependably dope Nottz, who adds in some futuristic effects to an otherwise percussion-dominated beat that holds true to its name. That right there would have been enough, but Bobby’s Grand Hustle boss T.I. jumps on board with a verse that (once again) reasserts his rap dominance, followed by a 16 from the suddenly resurgent, and newly renamed, Mos Def

Yasin Bey, anchored by a verbal contribution from the headliner that finds Bobby comparing himself to a Play Station 3 (shots fired at Sega Genesis!). A Buckhead to Brooklyn collaboration? Yep, its really happened, and it sounds dope. While it’s looking like spring of 2012 for sophomore album from B.o.B., fans don’t have to wait another second to download his new mixtape E.P.I.C., available across the interwebs right now.
